Went to see Madagascar with the boys tonight. The animation was incredible (all done on Linux!). The movie over all was kind of so-so. The story was hokey. But it did start me thinking. There are lots of times when we are put into situations that are “unnatural” for us. [...]

House of Flying Daggers
May 31st, 2005 · No Comments
Last night I watched bits and pieces of the movie House of Flying Daggers. It was an incredibly beautiful movie. The colors and cinematography where out of this world. I am going to have to rent it again so I can sit and watch the whole thing.

Welcome to Moe’s!
May 30th, 2005 · No Comments
We went to Moe’s for lunch today. They were really busy and short-staffed. But they were still very cordial. Adrienne felt sorry for them and wanted to do something nice for them. So I offered to take the garbage out for them (which was overflowing). In return they gave me [...]

Now it’s a vacation
May 30th, 2005 · No Comments
No vacation is real for us until we take a kid to the emergemcy room. Olivia went in to the ER last night. She had been running a 102+ fever since we arrived. Now we know why, she has a double ear infection.

Back in the Big Easy (aka the Big Sleezey)
May 29th, 2005 · No Comments
When we arrived, I was quite surprised by the lack of humidity (it is, however, raining now and expected to all week). I was quickly reacquainted to the bad driving. Within 10 minutes of being back on the road: I had a woman in front of me cross all four lanes of I-10 [...]

Stem Cell research
May 25th, 2005 · No Comments
I am at the “fringe” politically as a Mormon. And I am not sure what the stand is on embryonic stem cell research. But I just don’t get what people are thinking. Stem cell research is important. And we need more of it now. Maybe we ought to give people [...]

Broken Glass

When I got home last night the boys where in full spazz out mode. I took them outside for a bit and we walked the dog. Adrienne was a bit overloaded. She went and ran some errands to get some time for herself. She is a tad bit overworked.
Earlier [...]

Taylor
Taylor has turned into a Star Wars fan. He watched episode two on tv last night and loved every minute of it. He has bought in the the marketing campaign. He thinks Darth Vader is the coolest. Yesterday he said:
Yoda can take food from people. (Pepsi commercial).
He has more or less memorized [...]

The Weekend…
May 23rd, 2005 · No Comments
So the weekend was nice. Did a lot (well not really, it just seemed like it) of yard work, went to Jawaad’s for dinner Saturday, saw Beth and Ryan for a couple of minutes on Sunday (they just got back from Hawaii; they seemed rested and relaxed).
I am, of course, burnt from the yard work. [...]

School is Out!
May 19th, 2005 · No Comments
Today was Taylor’s last day of school. Summer break is on and Adrienne has his schedule jam packed with activities. Sport Skills Camp. Swimming Lessons. Soccer Camp. (Andrew will also be going for swimming lesson.) I am looking forward to hockey lessons in the fall.
Since it was Taylor’s last day of school, they [...]
